Deborah D. Hood - Retired health care executive, consultant

As Vice-President for the National Oncology Service Line at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Ms. Hood led efforts to develop new models of care, expand clinical research, and improve diagnostic and treatment programs across 45 cancer centers in 13 states. She has written two books and continues to provide oncology consultative services.  Her 35+ years of experience includes clinical laboratory administration, healthcare strategic planning, marketing and communications, cancer center operations and service line development.

Past board service includes the Colorado Cancer Research Program, Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Colorado Cancer Coalition. She is currently a member of 100 Women Who Care and serves on KPWE’s Advisory Board.

Ms. Hood holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and an MBA from UCCS.
