The Karen Possehl Scholarship provides crucial financial aid and mentorship to post traditional UCCS students who are embarking on or resuming their educational journeys after overcoming significant personal challenges. Established in 1996 and endowed in 1998 by Karen and Jim Possehl, this powerful mission thrives thanks to the unwavering support of hundreds of community members.

  • $6,000 in financial awards per scholar, each year

  • A dedicated 1:1 scholar-to-mentor ratio

 

The Possehl Scholarships proudly celebrates the achievements of over 239 scholars since its inception, boasting an impressive undergraduate graduation rate of 95.11%.
